Mabel – 7-year-old Cockapoo
Currently in foster in Gloucestershire, living in an adult family home with visiting grandchildren and dogs
Mabel is a darling little girl who came into our care through very sad circumstances, having been with her previous owner since she was a puppy.
She has settled quickly into her foster family. Mabel sleeps with them at night, likes to know where you are, and has a strong bond with her foster mum – though she is also friendly with her foster dad.
She is fine being left for a few hours, though sometimes howls a little when her foster mum goes out, as she’s very attached to her.

Mabel is a gentle, sweet-natured dog who really just wants to be with people.
She isn’t particularly interested in other dogs but is fine meeting them out and about. She’s good with visitors, enjoys her walks, and travels well in the car.

Mabel has been used to visiting children before and its the same in her foster home with visiting grandchildren 8 plus, so she would be fine with young visitors.
However, her ideal home will be a calm, adult household with someone around most of the time – this is what she is used to and where she will truly thrive.
She does seem to prefer women, but she will happily accept fuss and friendship from men too.

She has been health-checked, treated for a sore ear (which is healing well), started her vaccinations, flea/worm treated, and spayed.
