I'm looking for a new home for Ferdynand – with a heavy heart, but out of concern for his well-being.
I’m over 50 YO and I'm left alone with four dogs as my husband is in the hospital. I travel to see him every day, and after he's released, he won't be able to go on long walks with Ferdek anymore.
I work double shifts, and it's becoming increasingly more difficult to juggle it all.
The other dogs are older and walk slowly, but Ferdek has a ton of energy – he needs long walks in the woods and bushes, tracking squirrels, and running. That’s where he is in his element. Unfortunately, I can no longer provide him with that.
Ferdek is a 6-year-old Podenco mix, imported from Spain.
He's calm and wonderful at home, loves people and being around them. He's not always good with strange dogs – he feels like the protector of his pack. He's not easy, but he's loved and special.
I'm looking for a warm, active home for him, where someone will understand his nature and devote their time to him.
