Description
Very sad rehoming of our beautiful Honey!
We have had Honey for just over two weeks now- we got Honey from the original breeder and therefore viewed with the parents (mum is a working cocker spaniel and dad is a show type cocker), we already have a 2 year old working cocker spaniel, that we have had since she was 8 weeks old, so please do not think we are rehoming Honey as we cannot cope with her, it couldn’t be further from the truth.
We have experience with spaniels, and upon bringing Honey home, her and our dog got on really well for the first few days, but since then, it has been constant fights and we are now having to keep them separated, which is devastating and obviously not what we want for them both.
We have to think of their safety and I cannot risk them hurting eachother.
Honey herself is absolutely beautiful, she is cuddly, good natured and fab around us and our 2 children, aged 6 and 11.
She sleeps in our bed at nighttime and will sleep all the way through.
We have had no toileting accidents during the night, although Honey is toilet trained, if you miss her cue, she may have the odd toileting accident in the house, but this is to be expected as she is still only young.
We have had honey health checked by our vet, she is healthy, flea and worm treatments are up to date, as well as her puppy vaccinations.
Honey is microchipped but it has not been registered to a name. I am awaiting the code from her breeder.
We have taken Honey to our local nature park to test her recall, she has been doing really well, she will come back to you, we offer treats to reward her.
Her behaviour on the lead isn’t great, she is very eager to be in front and will pull, again, this is something we have been working on, but it will take time.
We want Honey to go to the best possible home, with a family who can offer her time and patience to get the very best out of her. She’s a beautiful, sweet girl and I honestly don’t think she had a bad bone in her body.
I under no circumstances want her going to somebody who will use her for breeding.
Honey’s date of birth is actually 01/03/2025, she is just under 6 months old.
Honey is currently being fed on Butternut box, which she seems to be enjoying.
Serious enquiries only please.
