Casper is a healthy playful dog who loves open fields and forest walks and will be friend anyone who throws a ball to him
He was rehomed to us less than a year ago and does have anxiety issues and likes his time out time,his anxiety comes from coming from a busy home with a lot of young kids and other dogs who tormented him when he was younger
We are having to rehome him because we have young child and it’s just not fair on the dog he needs a loving home preferably with no kids or older responsible kids and some one who understands his boundaries and behaviours
When he is resting and a child comes near him he lets out a small grumble gets up and moves to another spot in the house we have tried teaching our son to leave him when he is resting but he is so young and doesn’t understand,
Casper has snapped once at my partner when he was in his bed after a long day out he was resting and she pushed a boundary as his bed was always consider his safe place this comes with the anxiety of protecting his safe area but once he rest and comes to you he is the most loving dog ever he has never done anything like this without signs like mentioned before he lets out light grumble like noise to let you know he not happy with something,
Casper truly is a loveable dog who just needs a family that understands him and his boundaries
He takes no interest in other dogs really perfect when on walks and sees them in public and we have been to plently of dog parks and he has stayed at dog care while we been away before too, he knows tricks and has great off lead recall we make full use of the open fields of the rugby pitch near our home he definitely has the retriever behaviour breed into him as you throw anything he will return it back to you and drop at your feet
