Description

Teddy is our big, lovable 4-year-old cuddle bear who’s ready to find his forever home! 🐻 He first came into foster through the UK system after a difficult start in life, but in the six months he’s been with us he’s blossomed. Teddy has gone from having no training and some reactivity to becoming a playful, affectionate boy who sees the world as one big playground. Now that his previous owner has officially surrendered him, Teddy is looking for the loving home he truly deserves. He would play all day with his toys or a ball so you must have a strong throwing/tugging arm! He is very busy, intelligent, and active but does well with structured downtime/enforced naps. He can be quite strong on the lead but has improved quite a bit with training. He would do anything for a gravy bone. He has also improved a lot with reactivity towards many things (bikes, dogs, people) but will still react now if another dog barks at him first or surprises him. Most of the time he is a very good boy and he really thrives on his routine. He loves to work and is very intelligent. He needs an experienced home to help continue his training as he is a strong dog and can pull pretty hard if he wants to. Additionally, he can be unsure of new people and act intimidating upon the first meeting. But, as soon as you give him his first treat, he will be your best friend forever. He is a very patient dog and pokes up with a lot of annoyance and inconveniences, most things don't even faze him! You can bathe him, trim his nails, you can brush his teeth you can clean his ears, he goes in the boot no problem and he is fully house trained, he's very steady minded in a lot of ways. He does love nothing more than play and affection and in the right active and experienced home we know he would thrive and be very happy! He has a big heart and a lot of love waiting for the right family! Fostered through: https://newleafdogrescue.org/dogs/recBedaNeTEReAWOy
