Description
URGENT. As no one is currently able to look after this dog & no charities have any capacity. We are looking to rehome my partner’s lurcher dog due to him having to regularly work away for long periods of time and not being able to give the dog the time & attention needed anymore. - Ernie is 4 years old, is microchipped & up to date with vaccinations etc. No previous or current health issues. - He is a Lurcher breed (saluki and collie mixed) - Ernie is really good with children & loves being around people. He is chilled & relaxed in the house and is able to be left at home alone. He is sweet and loving & spends most of the day sleeping under his favourite blanket. He has lived with my partners son from the age of 11-15 and is regularly visited by young children ages 4 and 5. - Is completely house trained. Never had any accidents or destructive behaviour; no furniture damage however if something is left out ie paperwork/ plastics that Ernie can access; he has sometimes chewed these items if left alone and bored. - He is not suitable to live with cats & he can be reactive with other dogs (when on lead in particular). He can lunge & bark at other dogs. However if he is able to be exercised in a secure / quieter location or large garden this would be much better for him. He takes some time to adjust / be introduced to other dogs. However with familiar dogs he has been fine socialising off lead. Ernie would thrive in an environment where he is able to be excersised regularly either on walks or just being around someone who has the time to spend with him. Access to land/large garden where he is able to run would also be a bonus. Ernie would also fit in, in a general home environment as long as he is walked regularly. Anyone interested, my partner would like to vet & see the environment in which the dog would be living in.
