Description
This is Cooper. We’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old, but unfortunately our working hours have recently changed, meaning Cooper is no longer getting the time and attention he deserves.
He is an amazing boy—fully toilet trained and crate trained. He knows basic commands such as sit and down, and with more time and consistency he has so much potential to learn more. Our current work schedule means he is home alone for around 3–4 hours a day, and we feel this isn’t fair on him.
Cooper is a typical cocker spaniel: full of energy, a little bonkers, and always on the go. He loves his toys and playtime. He can be a bit rough when playing with our 6-year-old son and sometimes gets carried away play-fighting with the cat, but overall he is a loving, happy dog.
He can be shy at first and may bark or cry at strangers, as he is still learning to overcome this fear. He is also nervous around other dogs and will try to run or hide, but we truly believe this is something that can be worked on with patience and training.
Cooper is fully vaccinated (with his final vaccination due on Monday the 19th) and is microchipped—this would just need transferring to his new owner.
This decision breaks our hearts, but Cooper deserves more time, attention, and stimulation than we are currently able to give. We want nothing more than for him to find a loving home where he can truly thrive.
