Description
With a heavy heart we need to rehome our boy Odie. He is a rescue from Romania, we have guessed he is a sighthound x sheperd! He's 3.5y/o, 22kg, neutered, house-trained and fully vaccinated. Based in Falkirk, Scotland. Transport can be organised though. Odie needs a house with no other dogs, due to his reactivity. He currently lives with a resident female dog, but does not like other dogs. No bite history, but does wear a muzzle in crowded areas or at the vets. He is not cat/child tested, however l'd air on the side of 'no' to those. Ideally Odie would be in an adult-only, quiet home where there is normally always someone in the house. He can be a bit pully on a lead, so would benefit from a bit of work on his manners. However, he does do quite well with 1-1 training so would suit someone who's active and willing to work with him. He can be left alone for around 3 hours - with enrichment (kongs etc). He loves tennis balls/tug toys and butt scratches. Also loves a cuddle on the couch and thinks he is a lap dog! I don't think he knows what personal space is! He is more than happy to sleep the afternoon away, after a good walk. He cannot be let off the lead unless in a fully enclosed area or on a long line (with no dogs around) He's a cheeky chap and will let you know when he thinks its his dinner time too! He is very talkative but will listen and lie down when you tell him. He does not allow you to touch his feet or nails but does currently use a scratch board to file his front nails! He will take a while to warm up to anyone, so you will have to have patience and give him a lot of space to begin with. If you think you can give this boy a home...please make sure this is his last one as he has been through a lot. He deserves to be happy, even though he's a little bit of a misfit. *we are not rehoming due to his reactivity but due to living circumstances changing and there is no other way around this unfortunately* *we are happy to meet up if local enough to go on a dog walk so you can meet him first* Adoption must go through Mossmania charity who can be found on Facebook! Adoption fee may be applicable! Would need to be discussed with the charity.
