Ruby is a lovely dachshund. She was the last of two left in her litter, only 8 weeks old when we purchased her in 2022 from a professional breeder and show dog owner for £1650 (mother and father were both viewed and they were KC registered show dogs). Ruby was very timid and shy which is why we took to her and brought her home.
She has enjoyed her life with us, our children and cats and our mother in laws dog. She gets on great with all of them, though she does like to chase and play with the cats. She has always had a shy, nervous disposition and loves being around the family. She hasn’t had any issues getting along with other dogs, though she is nervous/anxious upon initial meetings with dogs and people and will bark or will stay by you or behind you for reassurance, once she is used to the new visitor she will be petted and even enjoy a bit of fuss on their lap or run around in the garden and play. She tends to bark at loud noises or strangers so she is the perfect little guard dog.
Unfortunately, we are having to sell Ruby very reluctantly due to having a newborn and working full time, we just have not got the time Ruby deserves.
We do not want any time wasters and we are looking for the perfect match for our Ruby, whether you need a companion or a new family pet, Ruby will be a perfect addition to your family.
