I rescued him on the 27/12/2025. He was severely underweight, had worms fleas and mites and was so scared of his own shadow so believed to have also been abused. I have had him treated for all listed above and he has been health checked at vets for pets. He is a beautiful little soul and so calm and friendly. He must follow a nutritious diet with added calcium to gain weight which vet said can take between 3/4 months to see his true potential. Weighing 16kg and having days to live I could not leave him where he was. I have another dog that isn’t the keenest on him so having to keep them separate but he does not react or bother her. His built a bond very quickly to me and my eldest child but my youngest is terrified due to his size. After reading about the breed I do not have the capabilities to train him and offer him the life he truly deserves. He would suit older children or somebody with experience with either his breed or big dogs in general. I hate to part from him as he is such a loving dog but due to the above issues I don’t believe my home will be good enough for him in the long term. I am only asking for a fee as I do not want him in the same situation I took him from or somebody who uses him due to the look of him and not to actually give him a loving home. Plus this breed requires services which will cost money to put in to so please be aware his diet and training will need to be considered. The only issues he currently faces is due to him being starved his front feet are webbed as his bones weren’t receiving any nutrients to grow but the vet assured me once with his new nutritious diet this will fix itself and I have stint socks that he wears which will help aid this for him. He truly would make the most amazing family pet but as I already have an older dog and my kids. I would love to see him thrive he deserves it I have never met such a gentle dog and very relaxed for his age considering he is still a puppy. He has only ever had one accident inside my home and regularly uses the bathroom outside. Any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask. As much as I’d like him to find his forever home sooner rather than later due to him bonding with us and me not wanting him to feel abandoned, I will not consider applications lightly as stated above I would hate for him to be used or put in a situation either similar or worse than the one he has escaped from. Collection will be Halesowen, Dudley or if local can be brought to you.
