Description

Sadly I have to let go My beautiful 3 year old boy called hecktor. My partner sadly passed away a couple months ago who owned Hector and 2 other maincoons as well as 3 moggies. My partner has had hecktor since he was a kitten. And I have moved into her property with my 4 cats which I am now caring for 10 cats in total. But sadly hecktor is attacking all the cats in the home. Its with such sadness I have to let him go which isn't an easy thing to do. But I can't keep him segregated away from the others which sadly I am having to do after trying for nearly 2 months to mix him with my own cats. He is a loving cat and needs to have an owner who can give him plenty of space to run around in the home. He must not be allowed outside under any circumstances as he is a in house pet only. He likes lots of attention and does not like to be left alone for too long. I do not think hecktor would be suitable around children as he can get very frightened and will become nasty. He has always been groomed and had his nails cut by a professional groomer every month continously. But his temperament at grooming times can be very tricky and he can get snappy. Hecktor would probably suit a couple and maybe one other cat. But would recommend him going to a home where he is just surrounded by human contact to be honest and the new owners have no children. His diet is tasty shreds 2 pouches in the morning about 8am and biscuits throughout the day and another 2 pouches of tasty shreds about 5pm and again about 10pm. He likes go cat biscuits and will eat plenty of these in a big bowl and must have fresh cold water twice a day left down for him in a big bowl. It would be advisable to have a very large cat litter tray for him and use a soft cat litter. Also leave a lamp on for him at night as this will comfort him and give him some soft toys to play with and a scratching post. Hecktor is microchiped and flea and wormed on a regular bases. It would be recommended that he is registered at your local vets as he has been registered at our local vets at riverside vets. Hecktor will come with his cat bed, toys and a 40 pouch of food and some flea treatment to start you off. It breaks my heart to have to let him go. But with my 4 cats and my partners remaining 5 cats, I feel it's too much for him to deal with with so many cats in the home. Hecktor has always been loved by me and my partner but since she passed away his temperament has sadly changed. He is a pure blue smoke and can be very loving and will settle down again once he is with a loving couple without so many cats around him. He would get on with another maincoon but I would recommend you to be cat free to begin with until he settles down and begins to show trust in you. He does not like busy homes and will hide away. His environment would suit a quiet home. Hecktor will only go to a home where the new owner or couple have maincoon experience and know about their needs. Hecktor is worth quite a lot of money and has been neutered. So can not be used for breeding purposes. The new owner will be vetted by my groomer before he is handed over. Sorry but this has got to be done for the satisfactory of myself and the groomer and hecktors new environment. I would recommend that hecktor is groomed on a regular bases and i would recommend you to use my groomer who will come to your home to groom him regularly as he knows our groomer. It is not recommend he is groomed at a vets as he will become frightened around a busy environment. It breaks my heart to have to let him go, but I gotta think about his happiness and the safety of my other cats. I will not let hecktor go cheaply as this will prove to me you are really wanting a maincoon if you are prepared to pay the asking price. I will also give you his record booklet that my partner had. Thank you for reading my description and Hector will be viewed by appointment only and a second follow up appointment will be arranged for the groomer to visit you at your address to satisfy herself of your suitability regarding hecktors new home environment. Once the groomer is satisfied with herself that you are suitable to take hector on. Then arrangements will be made for you to collect Hector from me where full payment will then be required via bank transfer on the day of collection before hecktor is handed over. It is recommend that you bring a large transporter cage suitable to transport him safely to yours. Again hecktor will come with his bedding, toys, 40 pouches of wet food, biscuits and a box of flea treatment as well as his health record booklet containing his chipping details. Please think extremely carefully if you are able to deal with a maincoon and of what they're needs are as these are expensive cats to keep and care for. If you have any doubts about your own experience and capabilities and have never had a maincoon before, then i recommend you not to message me wanting hector as i will refuse your request. Ťhank you.
