Description
Petite personable Percival a little guy of around 5kg- smaller than some cats & recovering from his ordeal being left to fend for himself alone & afraid
‘There’s no place like home...i wish’
Percival in three sentences
The way this little guy comes forward with his alert expression & posture only to scuttle back to his safe pen is so endearing & heart rendering. Wee Percival has a sentry stance & if you engage he will reward you with this cock of the head & movement of the tail. 6kg of longing & bravery that could melt a 1000 ton glazier in that moment.

The vets words
‘A two-year-old boy. He is timid and hard for him to trust, but he is very good. He came to us in very bad condition (neglected).
He had skin irritations & was very weak. He is now recovering from life on the street.’
In the words of the welfare
If Percival came back as a bird he’d be a wren. The correct name for this little ground scuttling mite is ‘Troglodytes Troglodytes’ that’s why Percival reminds me of one- he’s a slight shrimp that dots about ground level- immediately notable while trying to be obscure. He is unawares of how big his tiny presence is. Like the wren he deserves a cathedral of a name with an empire behind it. Instead he had no name or history worth noting except one of misery and he’s due out on a rubbish tip. My language set to individualise him and give him a chance, doesn’t evaporate that grim reality. I try to do Percival justice because he deserves what he always should have known. In so doing we mustn’t forget what his fate will be. It isn’t just about what was- it’s about what is & will be if he isn’t chosen. It’s inconceivable that this vulnerable dog could be expected to survive out there. Percy for short is waiting for his special person.
