Description
With a heavy heart, we have come to the difficult decision that it’s in our beloved Poppy's best interest to begin the search for her new family.
Poppy is a delightful three-year-old, KC registered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We welcomed her into our home when she was just eight weeks old, having chosen her from a litter when she was only a day old!
She has been lovingly raised in our family household alongside our three sons, aged 3, 9, and 10 when she first joined us, as well as our Pug and two cats.
While Poppy was always intended to be a cherished family pet, we are also hobby breeders who dedicated considerable time to ensure she would be the perfect companion for future breeding, when the time felt right.
Last year, Poppy underwent heart screening with Specialist Veterinary Cardiology Consultancy (SVCC) in Hampshire and has received a clear BVA eye test result. Initially, our plan was to breed her between the ages of 4-5 after conducting another heart screening, as recommended every two years for breeding females. However, our circumstances have changed significantly over the past year, and we have decided that breeding is no longer in our plans.
Poppy was meant to be our forever companion, but given the new opportunities that have come my way, I believe it’s only right to find her a loving family who can dedicate more time to her.
Poppy is truly a sweetheart; she is cuddly, affectionate, and simply yearns for love. She thrives around children and other pets, is fully house trained, and absolutely adores her walks.
This decision has not been made lightly, and we will take the necessary time to ensure Poppy goes to the very best loving home.
For a pet-only home, we are asking for £2,500 (she will be spayed prior to rehoming).
We are also open to discussing placement with exceptional, knowledgeable, experienced, loving and caring hobby breeders who genuinely understand the breed and wish to provide the best for Poppy and any potential future pups. If this resonates with you, please feel free to reach out with some information about yourself, your experience, and your future plans.
We were fortunate enough to find an exceptional breeder who was supportive of our desire to potentially breed Poppy. As a result, she is KC registered without any endorsements. However, we invested significantly in both her purchase and testing. As Poppy approaches her prime breeding age and considering the market for KC Cavalier puppies, we will be looking for £3,500.
If you are genuinely interested, please send me a message with a bit about yourself (your family, home, experience, work commitments, etc.) along with any questions you might have.
Please note that messages solely inquiring about her availability will not receive a response. If the listing is active, it means we haven’t yet found Poppy’s perfect forever home.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
