We have Rex up for adoption. 4 years old. He is a nervous chap, but settles in quickly.
Very intelligent and easy to train.
A lot of love to give.
He needs to be the only dog in a baby free environment. Ideal for a household that isn't mega busy.
All dogs have their quirks. Rex's is:- he is extremely nervous to leave the home on a lead and howls, this is going to take him some time to understand walks are not scary, however, (weirdly) he's ok in a car once you get him in.
Rex was taken in by my daughter, who has a baby. The previous owner who had him from a puppy however they were unable to take him back when she realised it wasn’t a good fit for her baby safety, which he was not. Showing jealousy. The previous owner can not help So, we are now trying to do the best by him and find him the right home.
Rex also came to my daughter very underweight. He could do with an extra 10-15kg, which will take time.
He's super obedient, super clever. Any barking is nipped in the bud fast and he listens.
I do feel that he would also suit a first dog owner, as he's got the obedience down.
Rex does also like the occasional cheese burger as treat and he is very sneaky when it comes to food that is in his reach.
