Description
Apollo is looking for a new home through no fault of his own.
He looks and acts like a French Bulldog and his mother was a pedigree ( ******************.) however Apollo has grown to the grand old size of 20kg.
Apollo came to me as a private rescue in December when his previous owner ( who loved and cared for him very much) couldn’t afford the veterinary treatment Apollo needed.
Medical History: Apollo suffered from a condition called Entropion ( where the eyelids turn in and the lashes rub on the eyeball creating scratches and pain.) With a little fundraising he has had his operation and his eyes have been given the all clear. No pain, no eyelashes rubbing on the eyeball and perfect eyesight!) he was neutered at the same time.
We kept a hold of him during his recovery and I’m so pleased to say that he is ready to go.
He has been fully vet checked, signed off with wonderful eyes and up to date with vaccines & flea/ worming.
Personality: Apollo is the sweetest foster dog I have ever had. He loves ALL people and is just fantastic with our children. He got along with our other dogs and cats from day one. He is sociable, loves a cuddle, lives to interact and play, he is happy to chill on a sofa but also happy to go for walks and adventures. He really is the most fantastic companion .
He is very bulldog like- he is strong and loves to play tug of war, he will need the “virtually Indestructible” toys and can be strong on the lead- but realistically he is still very much a young dog just turning 1years old this month.
This strength etc would never be known when he is around children, he is calm and gentle and will look after him like they were his own.
If I had space to keep him and continue fostering he wouldn’t begin anywhere but he also deserves a home where he will get a lot more one-on-one attention than he gets with us.
House trained ( never had an accident!) fed dry kibble and knows basic commands.
Anyone who ends up with him will be a very lucky owner.
His operation cost £700 and we have managed to fund raise £250. Therefore the rehoming fee would be going towards paying his vet bill ( no personal gain at all) as much of a donation as possible would’ve appreciated but £250 is the fee set.
Apollo can be met most days and we welcome any further questions you may have.
