Description
Braun
Age: approx 14 months old
Location: Lincolnshire, UK
Breed: Malinois cross
Braun is the epitome of a young working dog. A diamond in the rough. He came into foster in the UK at the end of October.
He’s lucky not to have any “baggage“, no remnants of fear or mistreatment. So he’s been able to move forward and show his foster family what kind of dog he wants to become.
Braun is joyful, strong, whip-smart and athletic. He’s constantly inquisitive, learns very quickly, and is always looking for something to do. The working breed is very strong in this boy and he needs a family with experience in training and feeding his curious nature. He is very food driven, which makes training with rewards effective. He immediately got on with the other male and female dogs in the pack at his foster home, and loves running out full pelt with the larger ones every day. In the last two months he has learned sit, give paw, both paws, lie down, and is learning rollover. He has been trained to walk on a Halti head collar as he is very strong. Once the initial excitement of his daily walk is accepted, he settles into a lovely pace. He’s completely house trained, and very good in the house but both inside and outside he needs to work off his energy before he can settle into cuddles and quietly guarding his domain.
He is very loving, cuddly, and always playful. He has also become friends with the resident cat. Although he’s curious and wants to play, the cat sets the boundaries and Braun respects them.
He needs a completely secure garden where all the perimeter is a solid 6 foot, including gates, and he absolutely needs daily exercise and stimulation that his sharp mind craves.
He is a delightful, healthy, young, strong, magnificent dog who is looking for the right family to appreciate him.
