Betty – 12-month-old Cavalier x Poodle (10.4kg)
Currently in foster in Gloucestershire
Betty came into our care through very sad personal circumstances. She was a much-loved family dog, and it has taken her a little while to adjust to all the recent changes in her life.
At first, Betty was overwhelmed by new people and new dogs. She is currently living with three Labradors – she was a little wary of the bounciest one to begin with, but has now settled well and grown in confidence.
She can be a little cautious around men, simply because she hasn’t had much experience with them, but she has now bonded beautifully with her foster dad.

As her confidence grows, Betty’s playful side is starting to shine through. She loves running free in the secure field, and she recently joined a Charity Walk where, despite all the dogs and people, she stuck close to her foster mum. Out and about, her recall is good.
Betty is clean in the house, sleeps happily downstairs in a crate with the other dogs, and has been left for short periods without issue.
She is a sweet-natured, affectionate girl who loves her walks and isn’t a couch potato. She gets on well with other dogs and could happily live with a gentle canine companion who will give her time to settle.

She has been good with visiting grandchildren in her foster home, and we know she has lived with children before without any problems. For her future home, we feel children aged 8+ would be best. If she went with a family it would need to be a family who have previously owned a dog and fully understand the commitment involved – including balancing the needs of family life with a dog.
Betty adores cuddles and will happily curl up behind you on the sofa or even around your neck for a nap.
Betty has been spayed, is receiving treatment for an ear infection, has started her vaccinations, and has been flea/worm treated.
