Description

I'm having to rehome my 9 year old pug due to some circumstances that have changed. Lassie is a 9 year old pug who is needing to be rehomed, she's a very loveable dog and likes all the attention she can get. She loves her cuddles and will happily lay on the sofa with you either in your arms or on your lap and will fall asleep. Lassie gets along well with other dogs but has what I call "big dog energy" Which I'm sure a lot of other small dogs have. She tends to bark and lunge towards other dogs because she wants to play. She isn't aggressive in any way shape or form. Lassie enjoys her walks but would need to be kept on her lead as she doesn't have great recall but with a bit of training, time and patience I'm sure she would pick it up. Lassie does have some medical problems such as arthritis in her front leg which causes her to limp upon standing but soon loosens up and is able to move freely, seeing a vet they advised she was put on some painkillers to help with her leg but has not yet been trialed but would need to be on it for lifetime. She's also currently on antibiotics for a mild eye irritation which the vet has told me is a common thing in pugs due to their eyes being big. She also has separation anxiety so would benefit from someone who is going to be around more often. Due to her separation anxiety she has been biting her leg which I've managed to catch before it gets worse and is now currently wearing a cone for and I've cleaned the area and put some cream on to prevent any further aggravation. She has been to the vets about her biting her legs and tail before but that time was due to her anal glands being full which she would benefit from regular emptying to prevent this happening in the future. Lassie would be fine going to another home with a dog but not a cat as she really dislikes them. She loves kids so would be a great family dog. It is extremely heartbreaking to put this ad up as I really don't want to have to rehome her but due to the circumstances I have going on I need to do what's best for my girl. If you need to know anything else about Lassie, please feel free to pop me a message and I will answer them as best as I can.
