๐ถ๐ He is so so good at home but so reactive outside... He needs to continue with current training and slow introduction to outside world.
That's what Foster family say about him: "Buddy is truly one of the most loving and sweet dogs I have ever met. He is playful, friendly, sensitive, and extremely affectionate. He quickly formed strong bonds with us and he brought so much joy and light to our home. Around the house, Buddy is incredibly respectful โ he listens well, responds quickly to commands, and knows what he is and isnโt allowed to do. He settles nicely indoors and is an absolute pleasure to live with. He doesn't like to be left home alone, so this will need to happen gradually. Buddy has been fostered in a flat, which meant he needed daily walks to the garden and nextdoor nature reserves. Although these werenโt busy environments, Buddy sometimes becomes anxious and reactive around other dogs and occasionally people, particularly if they have dogs with them. It seems that his reactivity stems from fear and uncertainty, not aggression. With patience and the right approach, this is something he can continue to work through and improve on.He would thrive best in a home with a garden, where he can spend time outside in a safe, calm space without feeling overwhelmed. Buddy needs someone willing to be patient, consistent, and positive in his training. One thing that stands out about Buddy is how clever he is. He picks things up incredibly fast โ for example, with consistent, gentle training, Buddy learned not to pull on the leash in just one week! It's clear he has had previous training, and he responds very well to treats, calmness, and kindness. His willingness to learn and his eagerness to please show that he has amazing potential to become an even more confident and well-rounded dog. Sadly, due to our living situation and the environment around us, we are not able to give Buddy the best setup he needs to continue to grow. He deserves a home where he can feel safe, build his confidence slowly, and be loved for the wonderful dog he already is.
๐ถ BUDDY is such a beautiful Boy whoโs so loving, in the home heโs amazing and very calm, very good at sitting for food and never begs. He is good at walking on the lead however is very reactive to other dogs and people when walking. Heโs a lovely Labrador who loves a fuss and a cuddle."

Rescue Story & Background
Buddy is nearly 2 years old and has been with the same family since he was 10 weeks old. Sadly, that family admitted they could no longer care for him โ they lacked time, attention, and proper nourishment for him. He arrived severely underweight, having survived on basic biscuits and very little human interaction.
Despite his sad beginnings, Buddy is a classic Labrador at heart โ bouncy, loving, eager to please, and full of untapped potential. He is housetrained, crate trained, and extremely affectionate. But he has simply never been given the guidance or structure he needs.
What his previous foster said:
"Buddy has been settling well and started to put on weight. He responds to his name, enjoys lead walks, and knows basic commands like sit and stay. He craves human affection and will curl up at your feet while you work. However, Buddy has shown reactivity towards my own Labrador (intact male) and towards other dogs on walks. We believe Buddy would do best as an only dog, in a calm home where his lead reactivity can be worked on gradually and with confidence.
Heโs playful and loving, but needs someone with time and patience to give him the second chance he so desperately deserves."
Ideal Home
๐ถ Buddy needs a calm, adult-only or quieter household with no other pets. Someone experienced with leash-reactive dogs would be ideal (we are happy to provide lot of advice). He doesnโt need a lot โ just someone who will give him structure, training, and the unconditional love heโs never truly known.
Heโs not aggressive by nature โ heโs just confused, reactive, and hasnโt been taught how to navigate the world. Once he trusts you, heโs all heart.
Health Information
Buddy is currently underweight but making steady progress. He has no known health issues according to vet records. Fully vaccinated and microchipped. Recently castrated.
