Vex is a carefully selected 4-month-old Belgian Malinois female from excellent KNPV bloodlines. She is a confident, social, happy and playful young dog with a fantastic attitude to work.
During her first 16 weeks, Vex has been extensively socialised and exposed to a wide variety of environments, surfaces, people and situations. She has taken everything in her stride and shows excellent confidence and nerve for her age.
She has been raised in our family home alongside five other dogs, young children and two cats (ongoing work around cats, with good progress so far). Vex has been crate trained since 7 weeks old, using the crate as a safe place to settle, switch off and learn calmness — something she does extremely well.
Belgian Malinois are not suitable for inexperienced owners due to their intelligence, drive and activity requirements. For this reason, Vex will not be sold to just anyone. A screening call and visit will be required to ensure the right home.
Vex would be best suited to a working, sport or active home. She has been introduced to bite work weekly and shows strong drive, confidence, focus and good bite mechanics. I actively compete in PSA (Protection Sports Association) with multiple dogs, and Vex shows excellent potential for protection sports or similar working disciplines if desired.
She is comfortable being hand-fed or bowl-fed and has been introduced to luring to prepare for future obedience work. She has lovely movement, pushes well into the lure hand and is a very fun, engaging dog to work with. She also shows a natural prance, making her well-suited to more advanced or “fancy” obedience for those interested.
