Description
Here is the handsome Thor who is looking for his forever home through no fault of his own but a change in work commitments with his current adopters. Thor is calm and relaxed in the house mostly and gives in to the other resident dog. He can be triggered around food and he barks at other dogs while on the lead. Likes Humans? Yes all humans Likes other dogs? Only Some (Please explain in box below) He likes the other resident dog, they are close. He barks at others when on the lead which is the same as the other dog and this behaviour may reduce when on his own. Food/Territory/Possession aggression? If any please explain Yes but perhaps because our other dog steals his food if we don’t watch her. Destructive? Yes - shoes and toys. He loves soft plush toys. What is he/she like when you leave the home without them? Fine. He’s with our other dog. They mostly sleep but occasionally bark if they hear another dog outside. Likes Cats? No Thor is a loving, affectionate pup. He loves to snuggle and cuddle on the sofa and in bed. He likes to play and will have mad zoomies around the house sometimes. We will miss him terribly. Energy Level Moderate energy Obedience Hard to say On the lead Is ok but needs training He will bark and pull towards other dogs. Must be in front. Always alert for any people. Has occasionally barked/pulled towards people in hi-vis or dark clothed/hooded people. We stop him and block with wait commands to give way and he’s fine. Thor is so loving. But dim. We’ve trained for sit, lie down, bed, fetch and wait which our other dog does fine. He thinks the answer to all is to lie down. If you could choose the perfect home for this dog, what type of home would it be? No cats or smaller children (we have small grandchildren and he's occasionally reacted with a growl - we've always supervised carefully and kept the dogs away when they visit). Ability to walk him every day for a good distance- he's fit, active and quick. We do a 50min walk and he could always go further. Lots of cuddles and love, and someone skilled to work on his training and behaviour. Thor is Neutered Microchipped - free registration on adoption Vaccinated Comes with 4 weeks free insurance - to be triggered by adopter Rescue Back Up for Life
