Little 6kg ‘Daz’ who had no idea that when he went to a pound that day with his mother & brother that they would be picked up & he’d be left behind-though his spirit bounces back because that’s how the little ball of courage rolls ‘There’s no place like home...i wish’
Daz in three sentences
Small anyway though likes to pretend he’s a teacup chihuahua & climb on your knee. Scared at first though not for half as long as we humans would be in the same situation- Daz then gave us his best Colgate smile. A courageous prince with a sensitive shell as his crown.

In the words of the welfare
Every dog I see in an enclosure whether they are trying to be seen, in the shadows or trying to make it from the latter to the light - all deserve to belong.
However they don’t and never have- not as we understand that to be.
Take Daz for example- he epitomises the cycles of misery created by man. His so called owner took him at 1yrs old along with his sibling & mother to a government pound for castration / spaying which on the surface of things seems sensible. However when they collected the mamma they took one of her children & left the other Daz behind. He was scared & confused having been torn from his family. He was also showing clear indicators that’s he’s been poorly treated. Daz was already beaten down and sad. Now he’s at risk of being put on a rubbish tip (government policy when pound is full) or going to another bad ‘owner’ & his ‘family’ walked away without a single compunction. However if I can find someone for him then we can consider his abandonment a merciful release because they certainly didn’t deserve him.
Are you that household?
In the vets words written when he first arrived March 24’-beginning of April & he’s already flourishing
“1 year old boy. Freshly abandoned by his owners. He came to the neuter shelter with his mother and brother, but his owners decided to take his mother and brother and leave him at the shelter. Good boy but
very scared. He is small, 35 cm tall. He weighs 6 kg.”
