Hi, unfortunately we are looking at rehoming our neutered boy Dash. There are many reasons for this but the main one is that one of our cats is not getting along with him and it's causing her a lot of stress. The other main reason is we got attacked on a dog walk and since I have been too afraid to take him by myself on walks so he is not getting the care he needs. When my partner takes him on walks he is good and will ignore other dogs, however socialising is ideal as currently dash tends to try avoid the other dog and not "say hello". Dash is a loving, extremely cuddly boy with a lot of energy. We got him a few months ago from a seller on Gumtree so have only had him around 6 months. Dash is crate trained for when you eat, going out and bedtime. He will come with his crate (medium sized for cockerspaniels). Wr have taught him a few tricks such as paw, other paw, spin, sit, wait. He also comes with 2 dog beds,the grey one tends to go in the crate, food bowls, licky mats, the food we have for him and his many many toys. This is a hard choice for us but we believe it is in his best interest as we are unable to care for him properly due to my new fear after being attacked and one of our cats not liking him. Dash himself is ok with the cats and tends to ignore them, we are unsure about other dogs but we know his previous owners had another dog, he is ok with children as his previous owner also had children and he has been ok with my teenage siblings. Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
