Due to work related circumstances, with heavy hearts, we are looking to re-home Pepper, if we were to keep her she would be alone in the house for 11+ hours a day and we refuse to let this happen. With this in consideration, please only apply/message if you work from home/work part time or are retired. She needs plenty of attention and companionship, she is also great with other dogs!
Pepper is very playful and loves to play fight. She plays tug of war although you have to let her win otherwise she gets grumpy! She spins around a lot, we had this checked out by a vet that said there may be some type of deficiency but it has never stopped her from being happy and healthy! She often spins when she is playing with her toys or when she is excited. She prefers other dogs to humans but has learnt to show compassion, she is a very cautious dog with cb re people but once she trusts you she will approach you for attention, especially for a neck scratch! Often times you’ll catch her being very lazy and will pretend she can’t hear you so she can continue lounging. Peppers co-ordination isn’t the best, she rarely jumps on the dogs without encouragement and it took a while for her to learn to go up and downstairs, she still gets a little nervous in new areas with stairs but she’s very brave and always conquers! Although she can get a little excited when she meets other dogs and will sometimes bark when encouraged, pepper isn’t a huge barker, she has never barked at a knock at the door. Pepper loves to play with toys, and her favourite toy is called deery. She loves to play with other dogs. We have had numerous playmates with our dog owner friends and she does nothing but play. She also loves the beach! Pepper is on a fish based dry kibble diet as she has an allergy to chicken products. We tried her on a fish based diet that had chicken liver oil and she didn’t take to it very well. STRICTLY NO CHICKEN PRODUCTS. She loves yak chews and anything fish related, not keen on dentastix or whimzees.
Pepper is up to date with vaccinations and has flea tick and worm treatments monthly. She is microchipped so the details will need to be updated when she finds her new owners. She is not crate trained although has spent time at the vets in crates with no issue, the majority of the time she has slept in bed with us but has also slept in the kitchen alone with no issues. As mentioned previously she is very good with other dogs and has stayed over with other dogs on multiple occasions with success.
