Every dog I see in an enclosure whether they are trying to be seen, in the shadows or trying to make it from the latter to the light - all deserve to belong.
However they don’t and never have. All the dogs with rare exceptions are at risk of their life. . Please ask to understand more. All of them -however obvious, subtle or hidden it is, yearn for company. They never stop wanting to be accepted, to please & receive kindness. Often they embrace this desire with an a-gusto that defies their past & defines them. Chopsie is the epitome of that. You meet him-not the people who let him down- his desperation to be noticed in the only indication that he was once invisible & other than that if you didn’t know he was in a pound- you’d assume you were meeting a pedigree lad. Chopsie gives you EVERYTHING he’s got- it’s not that he wants to be the centre of attention- it’s that you’re the centre of his & that’s the difference. He doesn’t try to move dogs out the way to get to you - it’s that your way is his entire horizon. That makes Chopsie so beautiful because he presents himself so naturally & effortlessly - so purely & kindly- he wouldn’t tread on a fly to get to that bum scratch because he wouldn’t notice a thousand of them if it meant being loved. His temperament is insatiable & would bring so much reward, purpose & happiness to a persons life.
That’s what he is really- mobile jubilation.... & it’s infectious.. Chopsie gives such cheerfulness & elation that you not only feel blessed & uplifted to be around him- you also have to feel sorry for him. There is something saddening about an animal that’s been let down, keeps trusting against all the odds & that shows ecstatic gratitude for the scraps of attention they get. It is us that should be grateful- they deserve our unequivocal awe & applause. Chopsie warrants an entire universe at his feet because the pretty boy never stops throwing himself at yours. Please would a family, couple or single guy or gal choose him?
