Ruby is a young female American Cocker Spaniel, a tiny soul who has already endured a lifetime of heartbreak in her short years.
Her owners, fleeing the horrors of war, abandoned her, leaving her alone in a world of rubble, fear, and despair. For days, Ruby wandered, trembling from hunger and cold, her tiny body growing weaker with each passing hour. She had no food, no warmth, no one to comfort her, only the echo of human footsteps that had once promised safety but had vanished. Each night, she shivered under the weight of loneliness, unsure if she would survive until morning.
When volunteers arrived just moments before death, they found her fragile, trembling, and on the brink of giving up. Wrapped in blankets, fed slowly, and spoken to with gentle voices for the first time in her life, Ruby felt love and care — a feeling she had never known. Slowly, her spark of hope returned, and with it, the courage to trust again.
Today, Ruby is neutered, affectionate, and full of love. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats, and her heart, though once broken, now overflows with tenderness and gratitude. Every wag of her tail, every soft nuzzle, is a reminder of the resilience of a spirit that refused to surrender.
Ruby survived abandonment and despair. Now, she is searching for a forever home where she will never be left behind again, a family who will cherish her, protect her, and give her the love she has always deserved.
