Description
📅 Date of birth: estimated January 2023
📏 Height: approx. 55 cm (can be measured precisely on request)
🏷 Type: predominantly German Shepherd, possibly with a touch of other local genetics – giving him his own special, unique look and temperament.
His story:
Billy was rescued from a public shelter (kill station), where his life hung by a thread due to imminent euthanasia in the overcrowded facility.
Thankfully, help arrived just in time, and he is now safe in a private shelter – where he quickly captured everyone’s heart with his soft eyes and affectionate nature.
Still young and eager to learn, Billy is ready to discover the world – not from behind bars, but side by side with his own loving person.
Looks & presence:
With his warm brown eyes, proud posture and classic shepherd colours, Billy is truly striking. His expression is open and kind, and when you say his name, his tail starts to wag as if he’s asking, “What are we going to do next?”
Character:
Billy is a very gentle, very intelligent and loving dog who naturally seeks guidance and connection with his person – just like many shepherds do.
He’s social with the other dogs in the shelter and enjoys both playtime and company.
At the same time, he’s sensitive and eager to please – the kind of dog who reads your energy and just wants to do things right.
He has a moderate to active energy level – he loves walks, mental stimulation and learning new things, but he also knows how to relax once he feels calm and secure.
Ideal home:
Billy would thrive with people who can offer him time, structure and kindness.
He’ll do best with a calm and confident owner – someone who leads with clarity and heart, not harshness.
A securely fenced garden where he can play safely would be ideal, as well as regular walks and outdoor time.
He could happily live with another friendly, balanced dog – though that’s not a requirement.
✨ Billy is a young shepherd with a golden heart – loyal, bright and full of love.
Whoever gives him a chance will gain a wonderful lifelong friend.
📩 If you feel Billy could be the one for you, please get in touch.
He’s still waiting, with that hopeful look in his eyes, for his forever home.
CONTACT:
Friends InDeed is a registered charity organization. A home check (sometimes even online) is required before every adoption. We do not place our dogs with people who do not genuinely love dogs — too many lives depend on us, and we simply cannot be too careful!
To adopt one of our dogs, you must have your own private garden and no children under the age of 10. We do not provide working dogs, therapy dogs, or assistance dogs — no matter how noble or well-intentioned the purpose may be.
If you adopt BILLY, he will live with you as a beloved family companion, cared for and cherished as he truly deserves. You also agree to stay in touch with us so we can support you with any questions or challenges that may arise.
We prefer to communicate via phone or WhatsApp, as we both work during the day and have limited access to email. It’s also much easier — we can exchange all the necessary information at once. If you like, we can schedule a video call so you can see BILLY live before meeting him in person.
CONTACT: We are a 100% genuine and transparent rescue, fully dedicated to saving lives. We are actively involved in the spaying and neutering of stray dogs and in finding them loving forever homes. We reserve the right to ask for a different adoption fee or donation for our shelter dogs, depending on individual circumstances. In most cases, our costs are not fully covered.
We stay in touch with all our adopters — now more than 500 families — and can provide excellent references upon request.
⚠️ Please note: we receive many irrelevant messages and calls. We kindly ask — no time-wasters, please!
Thank you sincerely for your understanding and compassion.
Warm regards,
Adrian & Maria
