Description
Estimated age: 1.5–2 years (unsexed, but likely male based on behaviour)
I brought Pip home after he bonded with my first green cheek conure at a pet boarding shop. He is not hand-reared and doesn’t like being lifted or touched, but he has a big personality and shows affection in his own way. The moment his cage door opens, he flies straight to your shoulder to join in daily activities. Over time, he has also perched in my hand to watch TV and nestle in during quiet evenings.
Pip is very sweet, curious, and alert, with striking colours. He can be dominant, particularly around nesting, but he’s also playful and entertaining — dancing in the mornings or when he wants your attention. He often free-flies around the home, enjoying 2–3 hours outside the cage each day before settling down for a snooze. He also lets us know when he wants a bath and enjoys fluttering in a bowl near the sink.
Diet: Healthy, eats pellets and fresh food daily
Temperament: Curious, affectionate on his terms, dominant at times
Sleep: Needs 10–12 hours of quiet rest at night
Exercise: Free flying is important; he thrives with daily out-of-cage time
I am only rehoming Pip because with changing work demands, I can’t give him the time and attention he deserves. He has been a much-loved companion and will make a wonderful addition to the right family or aviary.
Rehoming conditions:
Please only contact me if you are experienced with conures.
Pip may do well as a single bird, or in an aviary with patient introductions.
He is free to the right home. The £180 listed covers his cage, toys, and food. If you already have a suitable setup, I am happy to rehome him without the cage.
I would love to stay in touch and hear how Pip settles into his new flock family. I am also happy to provide advice and support after he leaves my care.
His set up includes:
• two cages
• a range of toys
• feeders and water dispenser
• play foraging mat
• seed mix
• pellet food bag
• spray millet
Pick-up only from Whitechapel, London.
