Description
It is with the heaviest of hearts that I’m writing this, however my 3 year old girl “Miso” is looking for a more suitable forever home with all the love and attention she needs. Miso is a rescue from the streets of Cairo, I adopted her in 2022 from a charity I work closely with over in Egypt and she’s been close to me ever since. We’ve done a lot of confidence building and bonding throughout our time together, which I’m happy to say has paid off as her personality shines through now - she is a content, always purring, happy girl. Miso loves vigorous head scratches, loves to play with string toys but most enjoys snoozing close to me wherever I may be throughout the house. She is the sweetest, prettiest fluffy girl and I love her dearly, so why am I putting her up for adoption? This is truly my last resort and has been thought over and over during the last few months. With adopting/rescuing you can come across some unknown issues as you’re not aware of the history, so with Miso I discovered she has a sensitive stomach that requires a raw/high protein diet. This isn’t an issue as I have 2 other cats that also benefit from the same diet. However Miso is particular with her litter habits as a lot of female cats are, and with 2 brothers that followed her she’s become in-compliant with using the litter boxes if the boys have also used the litter box in the last 6 months. Because of this I have to have 5+ litter boxes dotted around my house in which I simpy don’t have the time or space to accommodate this anymore. When I say I have tried everything to overcome this, she’s been to multiple vets to be told it’s behavioural because of a multi-cat household or her unknown past, I’ve tried countless litter boxes and litters. I’ve also spoken to behaviourist that agree it’s the litter tray situation or that Miso would best suit being an outside cat - however I cannot accommodate this either. As mentioned previously, re-homing Miso has been my absolute final resort after trialing countless different ways to try and make her comfortable again, of which the solution seemed to be isolating her with her own space & litter tray. This of course isn’t fair nor feasible so re-homing seems like the best option for my girl to be happy and keep thriving. To surmise, Miso is looking for a home where she can be an inside/outside cat, or a home where she can have multiple litter boxes for options. (She’s able to use automatic litter trays, although it needs to be a larger one as she is medium sized.) She’s an absolute dream girl that deserves nothing but unconditional love in the perfect environment for her. I’m happy to answer any questions about Miso, I’m looking foreword to hearing from you x
