š Timid Female Maltese Looking for a Quiet, Forever Home
We are looking for a very special home for our approximately 4-year-old female Maltese, whom we rescued almost a year ago from a breeder who was selling her without papers. She arrived extremely timid and shy, and although she has made progress, she still needs a calm, gentle environment to feel truly safe.
⨠About Her Personality
⢠She is very timid and very shy with most people.
⢠She has formed a strong bond with me and trusts only meāwith me she becomes playful, affectionate, and even ātalks.ā
⢠Sadly, after almost a year, she is still scared of my 8-year-old son when heās a bit more loud during play, which is the main reason we are looking for a more suitable home.
⢠She would be happiest in a quiet home without childrenāideal for a single person, a couple, or a calm household with no kids.
š” Her Home Needs
⢠A peaceful, patient household.
⢠Someone experienced with shy dogs who can give her the time and trust she needs.
⢠Plenty of gentle companionship and reassurance.
š¾ Habits & Behaviour
⢠We were never able to fully house-train her, although she does very well overnight and sleeps peacefully in my bed (which she adores).
⢠She is good with other dogs and cats.
⢠Not spayed, as she has never come into a proper heat since weāve had her (she is to be placed as a pet only, not for breeding).
⢠She is also getting used to grooming and pamperingāstill a bit cautious, but improving each time and enjoying it more as she relaxes.
. She loves wearing clothes, especially in winter, and sheās happy to wear bows in her hair. She really is a little princess in her own special way.
. She barks when she can hear noises if left alone .But when sheās around me she ignores every noise.
We love her dearly and have given her a safe and caring home, but we truly believe she needs a quieter environment where she can feel comfortable and continue to grow in confidence.
If you feel you can offer this sweet girl the patient, loving home she deserves, please get in touch and tell us a little about yourself and your home situation.
