Character:
My cuddly soft playful and extremely cheerful fur baby of 8 years (birthday October 2017) has to leave us as he’s not coping with our newborn baby. Heartbreaking to rehome. He is otherwise a gentle and loving companion. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old (he came from south Wales) He’s been my constant companion. With an immensely loyal and friendly heart. He’s always got a wag to strangers! People love him!! I have a million and one photos and videos of his years growing up to share on request. Wer looking for a seriously loyal and kind family where he can be your constant companion as he deserves. He’s very rewarding to be around.
Holidays:
We’d also love to be able to look after him when your on holiday as he wouldn’t cope going into a Kennel and he can become easily depressed. If this would be of benefit to your family.
Travel:
He is super good in a car. I used to travel a lot and he would sit on the arm rest of the car for hours.
Issues:
He was a social puppy for the first 3 years as was constantly with a walking dog group. Then we moved and couldn’t find a group and he became anti social once a couple of dogs had harassed him badly.
He was attacked badly last summer and the owners did nothing to help. Hurt his back right leg - physically he’s fine but he dosnt like his back legs touched now. So mental scarring remains.
Have to give wide berth on dog walks and I usually tell others ‘sorry he’s been attacked to many times’ and the other walkers are always respectful. He would benefit from some kind professional dog training.
However what can’t be trained out of him is jealously sadly.
He has always been my baby and is used to having that special one to one. He hasn’t adjusted to my newborn son. It’s very sad for everyone. We can’t believe we have to ****************** our family member, he’s dearly loved by us all. But I have to keep my baby safe and he’s high risk with young children..
Wer looking for:
Only pet in home.
Someone staying at home/work from home/retired.
Cuddles - very sweet soft little boy used to having me all to himself needs affection.
Someone playful. Understands he’s an intelligent dog needs play stimulation for 5 mins once a day.
Very calm between his walks when walked 2-3 walks daily. (40min walk either in the morning or afternoon followed by 20mins/half hour and evening a 5min toilet break)
Handing over:
Meet 3 times.
First time in your local dog walking park so you can see what he’s like on the lead and with other dogs.
If all parties are happy then a next meet up at your house for a home check.
We’d like to check on him a week later to see how you’ve got on - before payment.
Ideally:
Perm residence/no chance of you moving.
Ideally bring him back when your on holiday so we can see him once a year or so.
Musts:
Must not have small children, easily jealous the ONLY reason he has to go:(
Must not have other pets tho has been raised around cats.
Could be placed woth Cat with correct introduction so long as cat didn’t go near his food or toys. Tho I wouldn’t recommend it.
