We are delighted to announce that home bred Betsy’s Messerschmitt - Wilma - is expecting a litter on 2nd January 2026. Wilma is the granddaughter of the renowned Field Trial Champion Greenbriar Thunder at Drakeshead, and she continues the family tradition of intelligence, steadiness and natural working ability.
Wilma works regularly on a Herefordshire shoot each season and is an invaluable member of the picking-up team. True to her breeding, she is keen, reliable, and beautifully biddable in the field.
Despite her superb working temperament, Wilma’s primary role is that of an adored family companion. Living in the Cotswolds, she is equally at home travelling to London, visiting grandchildren, and navigating buses, the Underground, and busy museums. She has even accompanied family members as a support dog, taking every new experience calmly and confidently. Nothing seems to faze her.
The sire of this litter is Field Trial Champion Meadowlark Big Rock Fendawood, an I.G.L. Qualifier in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024—a dog of exceptional ability, temperament, and proven working excellence.
This will be Wilma’s second litter. As before, the puppies will be born and raised in the heart of our home—our busy kitchen—ensuring they are well socialised from day one, used to household life, clatter, commotion, and the enthusiastic attention of children.
