Meet Nelson, an absolutely gorgeous, almost 4-year-old Mastiff crossbreed with a magnificent, loving temperament who is searching for his forever home.A Big Boy with a Bigger Heart,Nelson is a truly sweet boy who adores his people. He currently lives happily alongside children and is a bundle of joy. He's smart and knows his manners, too! Nelson can confidently execute sit, paw, lay down, and wait on command. His favorite things in the world are playing and a good game of fetch!However, Nelson is a powerful dog with an impressive physique. When he gets excited, he can't help but jump up, and his strength is considerable. For this reason, we are looking for a special home:Experience with Strong Breeds: Due to his size and strength, his new family must have experience handling and training powerful dogs.A Commitment to Training and Structure: Someone dedicated to continuing his positive reinforcement training and managing his excitability, especially his jumping, will be essential. We have spent thousands to date.A Loving and Active Home: He thrives on attention and play and needs a family who can meet his exercise needs. He needs long walks and interactionPlease note: Nelson is currently unneutered.This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and we are heartbroken to be rehoming our beloved Nelson. Due to a decline in my own health, I am no longer physically strong enough to walk him safely or give him the love, structure, and exercise he truly needs and deserves. Our biggest priority now is his future happiness. Therefore, we will be meticulously vetting all potential homes to ensure he does not fall into the wrong hands and finds a stable, loving environment where he can truly thrive.
