Description
Our lovely Heathcliff is finally ready for a home.
This cat has been through hell the last few years. The story is his owner left and moved away leaving him homeless. Just before Covid he was noticed to have severe injuries to his face. Unfortunately no one brought him to a vet. The street fed him for 4 years, and gave him outside boxes to sleep. His face bled intermittently for all those years they all assumed some sort of flare up. Finally he was taken to a vet who called us. His mouth was so infected and not completely aligned. His gum line was torn away from his jaw and he had old jaw fractures. Somehow this cat was still absolutely lovely even though he must have been in so much pain. He makes biscuits on your lap and purrs. We performed surgery on him and Telmo somehow was able to attach his gum line, remove the broken teeth and make him much more comfortable. He was on liquid food for a week and strong pain meds but now he is completely better. He was also castrated and given flea treatment as he was completely black with flea dirt.
This is a lad that's not born for the street. He's friendly, cuddly and loves warmth. We wish we knew about him earlier so he didn't suffer what he has but he's safe now.
We suspect he's about 5 to 6 years old and now he's all fixed there shouldn't be any further treatments needed.
Please can you offer this boy the home he so badly wants.
