Description
Hero is an extremely energetic and excitable dog bred from working parents. He has full enthusiasm for life and is very loving and affectionate. He is neutered, has been for check ups at the vets every 6 months, is microchipped and up to date on all vaccines and flea and worming tablets.
Things Hero loves:
His food (he’s very food motivated but does have a sensitive stomach so we stick to only feeding his kibble)
Chewing chew toys
Bringing a shoe to greet you
Long runs
Running through woodlands
Walks in the countryside
Checking in and staying close, coming back reliably when recalled
Doing tricks for treats 😋
Cuddles and attention
Playing with our older girl dog
Sleeping all night in his crate
His crate in general; his safe space
Playing with our 7 year old child
Things Hero does not love:
Other dogs in his personal space
Being in the garden when you’re inside (even when with our other dog)
Waiting past 7am for his breakfast
The doorbell going ☹️
Walking nicely on lead unless with his figure 8 lead
Reason for rehoming is simply that our quiet household and our older girl is struggling with having Hero around. We are starting to see a real difference in our older dog’s aging and ability to tolerate Hero’s behaviour and we feel it’s only right as she was here first after all. It’s important to us that Hero goes to a home with experience or knowledge of working cocker spaniels.
