Meet Sage, an adorable, sweet-natured young dog who sadly isn’t the right fit for our current household.
We took Sage in with the hope of keeping him, but with four existing dogs (including a very territorial dachshund), four children, and busy work/home life, it has become clear that our home isn’t the best match for him. This has been a very hard decision, because Sage really is such a loving boy, but his happiness and the harmony of our current dogs has to come first.
✨ What Sage is like:
• Very affectionate once he relaxes — he loves to be near people and will happily fall asleep on your lap.
• Already toilet trained (though like many new dogs he has scent-marked in a new home, which is settling with routine).
• Eats well and enjoys home-cooked extras like eggs when encouraged.
• Allowed me to bath him, blow dry him, and even trim the hair around his eyes calmly — such a good boy with handling.
• Wants to play with other dogs and has shown no aggression — just excitement.
⚠️ Why he needs a new home:
• Our dachshund has not accepted him and is becoming increasingly territorial and aggressive, which is unfair on both dogs.
• With five dogs already, it is impossible to give Sage the calm, secure introduction he deserves without causing stress to the others.
• He would do much better in a quieter home with fewer dogs, or with one calm companion who will enjoy his playful side.

This is what I paid for him, and I’d like to recover this so I know he’s going to someone serious and committed.
🌟 Sage really is a sweetheart and has the potential to be a fantastic companion in the right home. He’s already showing signs of settling and will thrive where he can get the focused attention he deserves without the stress of multiple territorial dogs around him.
