This beautiful yellow-sided green cheek was found out in the cold, having survived at least three frosty nights in December 2023. A true little survivor. Sadly, we can no longer keep him.
Sex and age unknown, no leg band or microchip. Had recent health check and faecal test and all came back clear. 'He' is not tame, but is super smart and has potential - he's food-motivated and responds well to gestures/cues/routine, even goes back into his cage willingly after out-of-cage sessions.
Will suit someone experienced with parrots, with the time and inclination needed to tame and socialise him. Or we imagine he'd be quite happy in an aviary too - he's very interested in our other birds but our existing flock are aggressive towards him.
