They were originally homed with a young family with four children (aged 1 to 9), but were returned to us because they were extremely timid around the kids. Whenever the children tried to play with them, the dogs would tuck their tails and run behind the adults, cowering in fear.
They were unplanned puppies from my own dog. They are now 18 months old, not neutered, but both are vaccinated and microchipped. They currently live with my own dogs, but their high energy tends to overwhelm my dogs, who often tell them off.
Their temperament is generally good. One of them is very obedient and walks well on a lead. The other is extremely nervous about being on a lead - we've had to use secure private dog parks or our garden for exercise. This makes me wonder if something may have happened during previous walks that caused this fear.
