Description
This is Otis, he is 18 months old.
I have done what I can with him training wise but unfortunately as he is reactive with other dogs (which I was unaware of) it is not going to be the right fit as I am a dog sitter and I cannot take him to work with me.
He needs a home where someone is home most of the time as he loves being around people and doesn’t like being on his own, he doesn’t seem to bark when he’s left out of the crate, he is very well house trained and he isn’t destructive at all, he’s never chewed any of our stuff but we do leave him lots of natural chews and toys out so that he doesn’t get bored. He’s very affectionate, a proper little lap dog and he loves playing too.
Also with slow introductions I think he would also benefit from having a home with another dog as he’s always been with another dog and isn’t used to being on his own so if you have another dog please only message me if you are from the Bristol area as I will not be able to travel multiple times to do this.
IMPORTANT: I will not rehome him to anyone that has children or small animals due to his reactivity. He is not good with cats, and all potential homes will be thoroughly vetted!
Also the main picture is of Otis not of his mother. I don’t know why it’s done that.

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
