It is with a heavy heart that we have decided we need to find a new home for our pekingnese. She is a lovely dog, I adore her, but I simply do not have the time for her needs. We have had her from a puppy and she has lived with indoor cats and young children. However, I think a home with older sensible children, or no children at all would be best. She does get on well with cats, but does like to chase them. She has lived with other dogs when she has been at the dog boarders and has gotten on well with them. They have always commented on what a lovely dog she is.
She loves going out on the car and going to restaurants, she is very well behaved when she is out, she is not reactive at all towards other dogs. She gets A LOT of attention when we are out, and she loves being stroked by her admirers!
She does need regular grooming, currently clip her coat shorter myself, she has not been to the groomers. She has beautiful coat, and I just do not have the time for her grooming needs.
She loves pottering around in the garden and to go for a walk, also happy to be carried or pushed in a doggy pram!
She is a beautiful dog, she loves to snuggle on the sofa and play tug of war. She is used to be with someone most of the day, however she has always been fine being left if we’ve gone out. She does not bark really, only when she’s hungry! She will make a wonderful pet for the right people. I think she would really enjoy the company of another small dog.
Her next vaccinations are due in February, she has not yet been spayed, but if she had not found her new home in the next month or so we will get that done.
She is kc registered, fully house trained, crate trained, lead trained.
She currently eats the ‘Different Dog’ food brand, which is delivered frozen your house. I would give you a good supply of this to keep you going, or wean off if you wish.
We are in no rush to rehome her, the right home is the most important thing for us.
