Description

Pigeon is a really beautiful, lovely, friendly dog. She loves a belly rub, a tug of war, and a crunchy bit of a cucumber. Due to personal circumstances changing I am having to rehome, against my best wishes. I love her and have had her for four years. She is so friendly and loves all people so much that I'm sure she will settle in somewhere else with time. For a husky her recall is very good, especially if you have treats as she is quite food oriented. She prefers male dogs to female - she often will want to play with males but will ignore females. I'd prefer her to go to a home where she can be the only dog just to maximise the amount of attention she gets as she really, really loves human attention. The main negative (apart from all the fur!) is that she pulls on the lead and can be quite strong. It is in the husky nature, I guess. While she is well trained (will do sit, stay, spin, paw, down, roll over, leave it and others on command) this is the one issue that has been difficult to work on with her. She is very friendly with children, and gets along really well with my 3 year old nephew, but purely because of her strength/weight it's probably better that she goes to a home with slightly older kids. Especially as she can be kind of clumsy and will step on my feet! I have put her advert up a little earlier than I need to (September) because in a perfect world the person or family who takes her would be willing to come and meet her a few times and maybe take her for a walk or two in order to ease her in to the big change. She will come with all her things; two dog beds, many bowls, leads, toys, harness. She is healthy and will have her yearly vaccines before collection. Please no time wasters and only serious enquiries. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Whoever ends up with her will be very lucky.
