It is with great difficulty I upload this post Cookie is a nearly 3 year old dachshund, born October 26th 2023. She is a lovely, patient dog and I wouldn’t be rehoming her if I didn’t have to. One of the issues is that she has severe separation anxiety, from me in particular. She will pace around and get herself worked up until I return. Everyone, including me, works or goes to school and is unable to be with her during the daytime. I’m writing this in hopes that someone else will be able to accommodate better to her- potentially so that she has a carer with her at all times as I think she would thrive better in this environment. She loves people and is patient with children, having grown up around my younger siblings and been around children since she was a baby. She is fully trained, but sometimes will pee in her cage if she is left alone- I think this is her anxiety triggering this. Around other dogs she is absolutely fine, except for my female chihuahua who she has had fights with in the past over food. The older chihuahua has food aggression and I think this is the stem of the ongoing issue between the two- leading to them having to be separated at all times. Cookie, however, has had no issues with any other dogs, including the ones she lives with - the male chihuahua and cane corso, ones she meets on walks or at the park etc. She is a lovely dog and I wish nothing but for her to go to a loving home. Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
