This is an online form that is very easy to complete.
Monty is a lovable boy who was very nervous when he arrived with us as he had lived with his sister and an elderly couple and not been socialised.
We had to separate the 2 dogs as we weren’t making progress whilst they were together but over the past few months he has learnt to trust new people and is now a very loving boy.
He is living with other dogs whom he gets along well with but he will chase a cat.
He isn’t a nervous dog at all but
he is still wary of new people. After a few minutes he will go and say hello and once he has realised that no one is out to hurt him he will sit next to you or roll over for belly rubs.
He is living in a foster home with teenage children whom he adores and gets really excited to see.
We know that when he first leaves us he is likely to be cautious of new people but we also know that he will quickly bond.
We are looking for a home with either a person or couple who have experience of Dachshunds who live in a quiet home without children. He is fine with children he knows but whilst he is settling in needs a child free home
He is ok being left alone for a few hours and he is housetrained.
He just needs someone to continue to be kind to him. Once he trusts you he is a very loving little boy and the more he sees the better he has become

He also enjoys sitting next to you having a fuss, he would make a good companion for an active retired person
He travels well in the car.
All of our animals are cared for in foster homes until they find their forever homes, this gives them time to adjust if they have lived in an outdoor environment.
All of our animals come with 7 days worth of food and 5 weeks insurance from Agria Pet Insurance, as-well as lifetime Rescue Backup. Microchip transfer is completed by us.
Adoption is subject to a home check and adoption contract. In some instances an initial home check may be able to be completed via video call.
Once we have received your application someone will be in touch to discuss him and arrange a home check if you would like to proceed.
If an application is not successful on this occasion we will contact you to ask if you would like to be placed on our waiting list.
