This is Bugsy (we just call him Bug). He's a purebred boxer, we have his birth certificate and lineage printed out. He has been health tested and has no deafness or sight issues. He is a big dog, weighing 37kg and is entire.
He is a wonderful people dog, loves going out but is just as happy sitting at home being a couch potato, hes very easy to have. We have a 9 month old daughter and he is fantastic with her, hes just a gentle giant. with people he's super cuddly and just wants to be everyone's friend. I cannot emphasise how wonderful he is with people, he's very happy go lucky and just wants to be part of the family.
He's a year old but we've had him since he was around 11 weeks old. Unfortunately very recently hes no longer getting along with our other dogs and we feel he needs to be in a home where he is the only dog. He might well be okay if introduced slowly to another dog, but I cant say for sure.
He has suddenly become quite dog reactive on walks and we don't have any time to dedicate to him to help him at the moment, and I just want him to feel settled and happy, he's just so stressed at the moment it doesn't seem fair to him.
He has good recall off lead, never ever soils the house and generally doesn't pull on the lead unless there's another dog, we have taken him to dog training classes but can't keep it consistent enough for him to progress as much as he needs to. The dog reactivity is very recent and sudden and as it's even in our own home, it has lead us to come to this decision, we have no idea what has caused it unfortunately.
