Description

A heartbreaking decision has led us to search for the perfect forever home for our two much-loved Dachshunds. They turned 2 years old in June, are not neutered, and have been raised as cherished family pets. Due to a significant change in our family circumstances following a separation, we can no longer give them the stable home they deserve. One of us is moving into a flat where dogs aren't permitted, while the other is moving in with family who have cats. This decision has been made with heavy hearts, and finding the right home is our absolute priority. 🐶 About Them ❤️ 2 years old (turned 2 in June) ❤️ Both not neutered (male) ❤️ Fully toilet trained ❤️ Crate trained overnight ❤️ Travel brilliantly in the car ❤️ Funny, affectionate and incredibly cuddly ❤️ Exceptionally loyal and thrive on being with their people ❤️ Healthy, active and full of character These two have the most wonderful temperaments. They adore cuddles on the sofa, love being involved in family life, and will happily follow you from room to room. They are affectionate, entertaining, and have brought us endless love and laughter. Like many Dachshunds, they can be a little vocal when someone comes to the door or something catches their attention, but they respond well to gentle correction and positive reinforcement (especially if treats are involved!). They are a bonded pair, so our dream is for them to stay together with a family who will love them as much as we do. This is one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make, so please understand that the right home is far more important than a quick sale. We are happy to answer any questions and would love to know a little about the home you could offer them. Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
