Daphne is our gorgeous 8/nearly 9 month old German Shorthaired Pointer. She is fully vaccinated, health checked, and KC registered. She is not spayed as she hasn’t had any seasons.
We have made the heartbreaking decision to find a new home for Daphne, however we are determined to find the perfect home.
The bad bits first - She is extremely nervous around strangers, she will bark and even lunge at people who get too close to keep them away. We have been working with a dog trainer, however so far it’s only gotten worse. 8 months is generally the time dogs are the worst behaved, so she needs someone who will keep working with her to get her through her anxiety.
She would need a home that is not in a built up area, with a large garden or land. Preferably she would go to a home with another dog as she LOVES and thrives around other dogs. No younger children in the home as she can be unpredictable.
She is crate trained and uses it as her safe space when she wants to, but also sleeps soundly locked in there at night.
Daphne is genuinely a lovely dog when she gets to know you, and so incredibly loyal. She is very smart and can learn new things in minutes. She currently knows “sit” “paw” “wait” “eyes” “get down” “in”. She is house trained, however can have little accidents when excited.
I believe she would do really well with gundog training, and she already naturally points at birds.
