Description
Age 4
Weight 15kg
Labrador type
Max was picked up from the street and it was thought he had been run over as he struggled to stand and was in a lot of pain. Following a visit to the vet it was discovered he had tick fever and also leishmaniasis. He was also very underweight. Max was quite poorly so a volunteer took him home to nurse him.
In foster care Max got stronger and stronger and soon gained weight. He went from a very subdued dog to a happy, bouncy boy. Max absolutely loves food and is therefore easy to train. He has gained confidence but will still need reassurance around new situations. Max is a sweet, loving boy who loves attention and enjoys his walks. He gets on well with most of the dogs he lives but doesn't like one. Max would be best in a home where he was the only dog.
Because of his leishmaniasis Max will need to take one tablet a day for the rest of his life but these are not expensive and he will be sent with a supply.
