We have a cockerdale, he's 13 months old. We have had him for a week now, he's come from a family with 3 older children, he came with a cage and uses this in bedroom for bedtime, and when we go out, hes a really lovely dog, whistle recall good. Loves long walks and loves cuddles. I am looking at rehoming him due to no fault of his own. We have soon resilsed that he needs a home that can take him on walks throughout the day and unfortunately we can not offer if the lifestyle he requires as we both work. I would just love for him to go to a home that he can have more time for him.
Not having him long i am unsure what he would be like living with other animals, on walks hes good with other dog but his previous owner didnt have any other pets so i feel he would benefit from a pet free home, he came to us with a licky matt which he guarded so i took that away and hes since been fine, loves treats, he's just unsure, anxious and needs someone with patience and a calm environment to help him settle fully.
I lost my labrador 4 years back and I thought I was ready to give another dog a home but unfortunately it's not the right choce i have made at this present time. He is honestly a lovely dog and deserves a great life.
