Description
Hello, welcome to our advertisement, thank you for giving us your time. This will be longer than most adverts but very detailed so you have lots of information 😃 We are proud to share our life with our very beautiful, Loving and effectionate, Ragdoll Pride 😍 All our cats have free roaming of our home and their own custom built outdoor cattio. They're all of amazing temperament and outstanding beauty, I often sit and admire how beautiful they are. Our Ragdoll cats are a part of our family ❤️ they run this house we are the slaves. We are looking for very special pet homes for our available babies, we are searching to find people who are NOT interested in breeding and are only looking for a companion in life, our cats have lots of personality and love to give, they enjoy cuddling and playing. They form very strong bonds and only ask for food, water, love and cuddles in return ❤️ I would like to mention I am not against breeding at all, I breed myself. My issue is the world is changing and many people now breed to live from the income, we have enough breeders right now. I dont breed often and I spend alot of money on raising my kittens and our family cats. Food, litter, new toys and cattery upgrades every penny you spend on one of our babies goes back into out own cats keeping them happy and healthy. Why Buy A Ragdoll? You should have researched this breed but if you haven't, I will briefly mention a few breed traits. * This breed is a fluffy breed, they shed fur and you will need to groom them so keep this in mind. *Very social breed, they adore human companionship. * This breed are big cats, our ragdolls inparticular are very large and heavy and like to sit on us for a cuddle!! *Ragdolls are very laid back, they do not fair well outside, their laid back attitude can lead to them having a higher chance of getting injured, hurt or killed. Their beauty can lead to people stealing them or believing they've been lost and taking them in. For reasons linked to the last trait mentioned above I am only looking for homes with people who have or are willing to agree to the following. *Keep them indoors ( this isn't cruel but you will have to work harder to provide a fulfilled life) *Buy or build a Cattery so you can give your cats access to some safe secure outdoor space. *Secure your garden so your cats can not climb out, this can be researched online but is very popular. *Walk your ragdoll on a lead and harness to give them some safe "world time" this might sound crazy but it's becoming more popular and I have done this myself with success. I have owners of our babies who take them to the beach, if you are slow and patient you can push past what's consider a normal boundary for a cat! like any cat they are individual, I'm sure some ragdolls have lived outside and manged well, I have made my requiements based on what I feel is best for my babies futures, I appreciate the above requirements aren't for everyone, my advice is seek other breeds if you want a free roaming outside cat 🙂 regardless I wish you the best in finding the right kitten for your family. The fun stuff 😍 our babies will be available from the 26th of April while living with us they are raised with love and affection, they share our home, sleep in our beds and are also around our dogs, so very social, they're handled constantly. We keep our kittens untill 11-16 weeks old so they can learn good behaviour from mum and there siblings, our goal is to take our time to give our babies the best start, not get them rehomed as soon as possible. We have one Seal Lynx Male on hold for viewing, One Blue mitted Female SOLD. Two Blue colourpoint Lynx males, I was unsure at first but we have definate stripes along the legs and head on these two beautiful boys, only one available, one on hold for viewing, Last we have one outstanding Blue colourpoint Female who in currently on hold for a viewing, but we are still taking interest. Parents to our babies are Big cats and these kittens will likely be big chunky Adults please keep this in mind. Each kitten will leave us - Fully Vaccinated - Microchipped - Vet subscribed Flea and Wormer - Litter trained - Scratch post Savvy - Carrying A Kitten Pack - Very well socialised - Vet Checked - Free insurance (1 Month) - Groomed Daily - Some changeover food, we use Katkin or Homemade (I make my own food by steaming meat, veg, organ meat so they've had the best start) - Most Important My Lifetime Support (Can't keep your cat any longer, Im always here, you can bring them back at any time no matter the circumstances) We are always here, We care about our babies and want to ensure none end up in bad or rescue situations, for this reason, we offer a lifetime support plan on all our babies. I recommend you come to meet our babies and then leave to think over how you feel. We offer no pressure to buy and encourage people to go away and really consider the commitment involved in adding a kitty to your family who can live for up to 20+ years, it's a huge decision. I hope I've answered all your questions, if not feel free to contact me and ask anything you'd like 😊 To weed out anyone who didn't read my full advert please start your message to me with the word Bubble 🤣 This will help me find the owners who took the time to read my full advert before messaging me 😁

Buyer's checklist for cats and kittens

Be responsible, do your research!

Be responsible, do your research!

Getting a new cat or kitten is a massive commitment, so make sure you have researched the breed fully and have the time and commitment necessary to care for the cat. Do you have the right living conditions to have a cat? Most healthy cats would prefer to be able to go outside, but some prefer to live indoors. If you are keeping your cat indoors, please make sure that you can provide the cat with the opportunity to exhibit normal hunting behaviour. You can read our detailed Information guide about cats for potential new cat owners. Also read our Cat breed information profile.

Kittens must be viewed with their mother in the seller's home!

Kittens must be viewed with their mother in the seller's home!

Always view the kitten at the seller’s home with the kittens' mother. Do not accept any excuses for sending money without a viewing having taken place, or if the advertiser attempts to meet you at any other location than their own home. Unscrupulous sellers will often suggest another location to avoid showing the kitten’s true living conditions. Pets4Homes do not allow the third party sale of kittens. All litters of kittens advertised, MUST have been bred by the seller. Make sure that the interaction between the kitten and its mother is natural to avoid the setting being staged.

Health check & paperwork

Health check & paperwork

The seller should be willing to let you take the pet to a vet of your choice for a health check and return the pet within 48 hours for a full refund if there are health issues. If the kitten has already been health checked, make sure you have this documented and phone their vet. The vet may not be able to disclose specific health information due to GDPR, however they should confirm the kittens have been checked. When you meet the kitten, they should be sociable and alert, with bright eyes and no visible health issues.

Kittens should receive 2 vaccinations, the first at around 8 weeks of age and the second, two to three weeks later. Kittens should not be allowed outside until 7 days after their second injection. Cats should also receive a yearly vaccination booster. Ask the breeder which vaccinations they have had and if not, why not. If the seller has not started the kittens vaccinations, it will be your responsibility to make sure you arrange both vaccinations 7 days before letting your kitten go outside.Kittens should really be wormed at around 2 weeks of age, and again at around 5 weeks of age, and finally just before they leave the seller/breeder at 8 to 12 weeks of age.

Pets4Homes always recommend that you microchip your cat/kitten, especially if you have an outdoor cat. This provides a safe way of identification if the cat were to be lost. In December 2021 the government announced that they are set to introduce new rules saying that all pet cats over 20 weeks need to be microchipped. No dates when this is coming into effect have yet been announced.

Is the cat/kitten registered with the GCCF, TICA or FIFe? If they are, then check to make sure you are given the correct documents BEFORE you decide to take the cat home. It may also be worth phoning the organisation to check if the information provided is correct.

Report, don’t support!

Report, don’t support!

If you believe a kitten may be subject to irresponsible breeding, do not “rescue” the kitten by rehoming it. Walk away and report the seller to us immediately. You should also report your concerns directly to the local council as they have the authority to inspect the premises if there are any welfare concerns, and can take further action if required. We work closely with several local councils, trading standards and police forces and we are able to provide any account or advert details if requested and if a data protection request is sent to us. Find contact details to your local council.

For serious welfare and / or cruelty issues, please contact the RSPCA (England & Wales) on 0300 1234 999, or SSPCA (Scotland) on 03000 999 999 immediately.

Contract & Payment

Contract & Payment

Never send money outside of Pets4Homes unless you have viewed the pet (in person or virtually) and are confident that the seller is genuine. We strongly recommend you pay through Pets4Homes’ own payment service as you’ll be covered by the Pets4Homes Guarantee.

If you do decide to pay offline, always know you can walk away at any time if something sounds suspicious. And report the seller to us.

Kittens must be at least 8 weeks when collected

Kittens must be at least 8 weeks when collected

Kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned before they can leave their mothers. Please make sure to check the paperwork to ensure the kitten is old enough. Most responsible sellers will keep their kittens longer than this before they let them go to new homes. Read further information on the minimum age kittens should be before leaving their mothers.

Get your cat insured!

Get your cat insured!

It’s worth looking into pet insurance before your pet arrives. Millions of pet owners get peace of mind from having insurance that can cover the cost of unexpected vet bills to treat accidents and illness.

Premiums can be less expensive for younger pets, and getting pet insurance early in their lives means they’re covered for conditions before they develop. If your pet develops an illness before you have insurance, it’s likely to be excluded, and you’d never be able to claim for it.
