Description

Blue is an 11 month old border collie. He is the loveliest dog in the house and towards kids. My 22month old son can do absolutely everything with him, blue loves attention. He is house trained & crate trained ( from previous home). Really a once in a lifetime loyal dog. We have left him out of the crate when we go out the house / over night and he has been absolutely fine. We introduced him to our horses and everyday he is getting better and he now just sits next to them. We have let him off lead and after a run round he comes back when called for. Blues previous home bought him from a farm as a pup, however they never took him out on walks which we Wernt aware of. When we got blue, he did pull and was reactive towards other dogs. He is now in a grot collar after a dog trainer recommended, and he does not pull anymore. He has been in our neighbours garden plying with a bitch Labrador and he really enjoyed it. Out on walks he is getting much better, some days he is fine and other days he can be reactive, however I give him a tug with the grot collar and he carries on his walk, it’s nothing compared to what he was like when we first got him. I find he is more reactive towards Male dogs, which could also be due to him not being nurtured. I feel like he would benefit from a 1 to 1 home, or someone that has land as he is still young and needs that time and education & he does like to be out. We collected him from Glasgow 5 weeks ago with the intention of taking him hiking with us. However with him still learning on leash, it’s not doable for me with a young child as well. Rehoming due to no fault of his own and just want what’s best for him as he really is a cracking dog.
